My name is
Herbie!
Welcome to my stable in
the barn! I would l ike
to take a second to tell you a little about myself. I am a race
horse! Every race horse has a number that helps to identify them in
a race. I am very proud to show off my number 13,
 which
you will find on my hat. My BEST friend, Sam, was born on the 13th
day of the month. So, the number 13 means so much to me! You’ve
probably already met Sam; he is featured throughout our home here on
the web. Sam and his passionate love for horses is what inspired my
being created. I enjoy writing to my BEST friend, Sam and many, many
other little boys and girls. You say you don’t have an interest in
horses??? That is ok! I guarantee that I can put a smile on your
face! (Smiles) I have a very exciting time here in the stables with
Hippity Hop Bunny, The Magic Pumpkin,
 Tickles
the Turkey, Santa’s Reindeer and all the other animals so; I have a
lot of things to write about. All my letters are written with each
child’s age in mind. I love to write mysterious, adventurous and
encouraging letters. I will share some of our hilarious stories that
happen here at the stables, too. We have a lot of those! (SMILES)
Like the one time that Tickles the Turkey was so determined he was
going to be the Bunny for Easter. He showed Hippity Hop Bunny that
he could bounce and that he was going to be the Easter Bunny. It was
SO funny! Tickles the Turkey had to use his wings to help him
bounce, he was concentrating so much on his bounce that he didn’t
notice a tree in his path. Tickles lifted off the ground and flew
right into the tree! The funny part is that Hippity Hop was standing
there under the tree watching Tickles and Tickles landed on Hippity
Hop’s shoulders when he hit the tree and fell! It caused Hippity Hop
to start bouncing and they both bounced right into the pond!
Oh don’t worry, they didn’t get hurt but, it sure was funny! Tickles
sure learned his lesson though! He is a turkey and turkeys don’t
bounce around…they fly!
